Cloverdale still considering ordinance

The City of Cloverdale is still considering the content of its Cannabis Business Ordinance. The ordinance will amend Title 18 and this is an opportunity for those interested in doing business in Cloverdale to have a say. Cloverdale is the only community in Sonoma County that has already passed a voter approved tax measure. The 10% cap is, in my opinion, too high and we need to be vocal about introductory tax rates. Let’s keep it small to begin with and look at the data. High rates will keep the industry underground and not achieve the goal of compliance and regulation.
